Effect of Kami Dalseng San on the Weight of Pregnant Mice and the Isolated Uterus Muscle

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this research was to investigate effects of Kami Dalseng San(KDS) on the weight of pregnant mice and the isolated uterus muscle in mice. The administration of KDS(500㎎/㎏) for 7 days from 1.4 day to 20 day did not affect the weight of a foetus and a new born mouse. The administration of KDS for 1.2 days decreased the weight of normal mouse. KDS inhibited the contraction of acetylcholine, serotonin, oxytocin and bradykinin on isolated uterine muscle in mouse. KDS inhibited the writhing syndrome induced by acetic acid and the leakage of evans blue into peritoneal cavity.
These results suggest that KDS has thee action of weight-loss, uterine-relaxation, analgesic activity and anti--inflammatory activity.
